Ok I want to put a filter on my fridge icemaker line, then split it so filtered water goes into my icemaker in the freezer, then a line comes out to the countertop next to the fridge, where there’s no sink. I need a splitter.. and a valve of some sort. Can I do this? What parts do I need

  1. my fridge has a filter on it already. which means it comes out of the door already filtered. check to see if yours is the same and you won’t have to do a thing. for what purpose did you want water to the counter? for a bunn cofee maker? u need to know the outside diameter of your line. then u need a “T” fitting to splice it together.and a shut off valve of the correct size. then you need an inline filter, hopefully with the same diameter line. if not, then u need an adapter. and you need enough copper tubing of the right size to run from the fridge line to where the coffee pot will be. good luck. might be a good idea to have a back up plan when u go to do this in case something goes wrong. or a go to person if u start breaking stuff :( been there. also start it early in the day so if you run into hassles the hardware store is still open :)
